Cultural Connections in Colombia
The ethnicity of Colombia "is the mestizo (mixed white
and Amerindian), constituting about 58% of the total population" which is
more than half of the population. From
personal experience, I know the main spoken language in Colombia is Spanish. I
also did research on this and "More than 99.5% of Colombians speak
Spanish". The food listed below is called Bandeja paisa which is meat bean
eggs avocado you can go to a Colombia restaurant and try it for yourself. The Carnival that I found most interesting was "Carnaval de Barranquilla reflects its vibrant celebration of life. The
carnival is the second largest in the world" from national geographic. Barranquilla is actually a city in Colombia where you can do so many exciting things. The religion in Colombia is the same thing as the United States there's a little bit of everything. But the religion most followed is Christianity.
